Is the photo uploaded?

With the local method the photo stays on your device. The AI method sends the image to our server and to Photoroom to process it, and asks for your consent first.

Which formats can I use?

You can open JPEG, PNG, WebP and other formats your browser can read. You can download PNG, JPEG or WebP.

What is the difference between AI and local?

The AI method handles hair, shadows and busy scenes better. The local method works best on plain backgrounds and does not upload the photo. The AI method has a daily limit per visitor.

Can I replace the background with a color?

Yes. After removing the background you can place the cutout on a color or keep it transparent.
